Family Satisfaction

Walnut Hills has one of the top 35 nursing homes in Ohio when it comes to family satisfaction. The Ohio Department of Aging reports our Nursing Home ranked 17th in the state during a recent survey of family members with loved ones in nursing facilities.

Walnut Hills’ overall satisfaction rating was 94.1 percent, well above the statewide average of 86.6 percent.
Results from the survey show only one-third of all nursing homes in Ohio are rated by families as above average.

The surveys were conducted between July and December 2006 and asked family members of nursing home residents about their satisfaction with a number of factors at the facility.

Ohio is one of only a handful of states that conducts such surveys.

In 2007, residents of Ohio nursing facilities will be surveyed about their satisfaction. Family members will be surveyed again in 2008.
